Pentecost Sudan Collection: Pins for Sale

Posted by

On Sunday, June 8, Christ Church Cathedral will sell $5 pins to raise money for South Sudan. 100% of the money collected will go to food, water and medical assistance. The people of South Sudan and the Diocese of Bor have been under attack by rebel forces for several weeks. People are being killed, tortured, raped, and they are fleeing to hide. Homes and buildings are burnt; cattle and anything of value is stolen. Our help is needed.

Our funds will be sent quickly to The Rt. Rev. Ruben Akurdit Ngong, Bishop of Bor, who will get help to those in need. Please be generous, as all money collected will be sent. The cost of the pins was made possible by a personal gift from Bishop Cate and support of the Diocesan Executive Council. You can learn more by being in touch with Cathedral member Karen Farmer.
