Organ Concert Features Ulrike Theresia Wegele

Posted by

Join us Sunday, Oct. 19, 4:30 p.m., for a free organ concert with Ulrike Theresia Wegele - one of today's most celebrated European concert organists and the professor of organ at the University for Music in Graz, Austria. She studied organ with Ludger Lohmann, who performed at CCC just last year.

Ulrike tours Europe and North America regularly as a concert organist and lecturer, served as artistic director of the Weinklang Music Festival in Burgenland, Austria, and is a contributor to several music magazines. She maintains an active studio of organ students in Austia. In fact, one of her students recently completed a one-year diploma in organ at IU Bloomington.

Our annual Requiem Eucharist for All Souls' is on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. We will pray for all in our parish family who have died in the last year. We also invite you to send in names of those who, in the words of the Book of Common Prayer, we "love but see not longer" so that we can pray for them as well.

Please send the names (and, when necessary pronunciations) to info@cccindy.org or call our receptionist at 317-636-4577 no later than Monday, October 27.

Compline: Night Prayers Returns This Sunday

Traditionally, Compline is the last of the daily monastic services, sung as a final prayer of the day before going to sleep. Today, this candlelit liturgy offers a rare opportunity for deep spiritual contemplation and meditation as we end the weekend and prepare ourselves for the work week ahead!

Join us Sunday, Oct. 5, 8:30 p.m. to experience this special service. For anyone who would like to take part in the Compline Choir, you are invited! All are welcome to sing. For information, contact Matt Middleton, matthewm@cccindy.org.
