Participate in Our Online Easter Egg Hunt

Posted by

On Easter Sunday our kids enjoyed an Egg Hunt on the lawn of Monument Circle, but you may have heard of another kind of "Easter Egg" hunt in media, art and popular culture. An Easter egg is an intentional, hidden message or feature, evoking the idea of a traditional Easter Egg hunt. For example, in art you may find Diego Rivera including himself in his murals, or Alfred Hitchcock's cameo appearances throughout his films. A classic example in popular culture is hidden messages found in the Atari video game, Adventure in 1979.

In the lighthearted spirit of this "Easter egg hunt" Christ Church Cathedral will host its own online search on their Facebook page. Join one of the hunts of the Cathedral every Friday in Easter. Christ Church Cathedral will post a picture at noon and ask if you know where the image is located. Join Christ Church Cathedral in the celebration of the beauty and history of the church!

Bake Week for Strawberry Festival: April 19-24

Posted by

Join us for this annual tradition as we prepare the shortcakes for our Strawberry Festival in June. Why bake in advance? We couldn't possibly prepare 18,000 cakes fresh in time for the festival! Our sincere thanks to AmeriCold refrigerator services for donating free freezers. We have tasks for all skill levels. Children in grades 6 and up are welcome to help with baking. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a head covering.

Bake Week will be held April 19-24. Sign-up is available in the Parish Hall or click here to register online.

Contact Jerri Bruckman at (317) 997-8221 or bajchow@aol.com for more details.
