CCC Welcomes Rev. Curtis as New Priest

Posted by

It is our great pleasure to welcome Rev. William Lee Curtis as a new priest to Christ Church Cathedral. Here is some background information from Rev. Curtis:

grew up on Florida's Space Coast, and did my undergraduate work at Florida State University in Literature and Classics. Graduating shortly after the Stock Market crash of 2008, I moved to Atlanta to pursue a theological education at The Candler School of Theology at Emory University and entered discernment in the Diocese of Atlanta shortly after starting Seminary.

I was ordained in 2013 and have served in dual part-time roles as the Rector of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation in Atlanta and as the Campus Missioner at Georgia Tech University and Georgia State University. I am passionate about rethinking the way the Church lives its common life together, and am excited about mobilizing people for mission and ministry.

I am proud to be husband to Hannah Curtis, and a Father to our rambunctious toddler, Shepard. Good food, gardening, good music and spending time with my family all help to keep me grounded and give me life.

Please help us in welcoming Rev. Curtis to CCC!

IndyCAN launches Season of Encounter: Sacred Conversations on Race and Faith

Clergy and lay leaders from diverse congregations across central Indiana have participated in the first of four retreats that will take place this summer. The Season of Encounter: Sacred Conversations on Race and Faith retreats are designed to equip congregations to build strong relationships across race lines and understand the impact of race and structural racism on families in Indianapolis.

IndyCAN will hold hundreds of resulting sacred conversations throughout the community over the summer, inviting community members to weigh in on a set of racial-equity strategies that IndyCAN will share with mayoral candidates at a public forum this fall.
